The higher prices are what you pay for service from a premium company, which charges more because they carry fewer subscribers, therefore guaranteeing that you signal will not be slowed down by having too many people using it at once. Sometimes companies offer special promotional prices to get people to subscribe, but you should be careful because those initial low rates may go up considerably once you get out of that initial time period.
